The Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia is devoted to the preservation and promotion of Bulgarian heritage and culture among individuals of Canadian and Bulgarian descent, and serves as a resource for the exchange of multicultural information.

Our Mission

Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia is a non-profit organization dedicated to the cultural exchange between Bulgaria and Canada. Our main goal is to popularize Bulgarian history and culture by:

  • Organizing cultural events like Christmas and Easter gatherings, concerts, family outings, and more.
  • Actively participating in multi-cultural, civic, and charitable events in Canada.
  • Providing classes in Bulgarian language, crafts, and cuisine.
  • Building Web site dedicated to Bulgarian culture and history and related events in Vancouver and vicinity.
  • Publishing a newsletter providing information on local events.
  • Organizing interest groups like Book Club, Women Group, Tea Party for Seniors, Sports events, etc.

We do, however, provide information and referral to many services. We encourage you to join the Bulgarian-Canadian Society of British Columbia in your area, as chapter members are most knowledgeable about local services.
