Dear Friends,

The Bulgarian School in Vancouver is inviting all friends of Bulgaria to a unique performance, which is an initiative of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education in celebration of May 9th- Europe Day; Bulgaria’s first Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and May 24th – the Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture day.

The performance will act out the creation of the European Union. The political map of the European Union will be pre-fabricated by large pieces of “puzzle”. Under the accompaniment of music, the participants will build a virtual European Union, using the aforementioned pieces (countries). This mini (3-5 minutes) performance will culminate with a traditional Bulgarian Ring Dance – horo (4 minutes).

The event will take place on May 9, 2018 at 7:00 pm in front of the Fraser River Discovery Centre at New Westminster Quay.
