The 17th Annual European Festival will take place at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, BC on Saturday, May 31st & Sunday, June 1st, 2014. Gates open on both days at 11:30 am.
30 nations will be participating and sharing the best of their culture in this year’s festival. You will be able to enjoy a weekend of cultural and culinary delights and rich entertainment. Remember to also check out the Art’s Plaza where a blacksmith, a wood carver, a weaver and spinner and a glass artist will be demonstrating their crafts. There are a lot of activities planned for the kids as well.

The Canadian band Hey Ocean is scheduled to perform at 8 pm on May 31st.

Bulgaria will be represented with a cultural display and the lively rhythms of the Bulgarian Folk Dance Groups Kitka and Prolet. Kitka and Prolet will perform at the main stage on May 31st at 6:30 pm.
