On October 30, 2003 in Plovdiv, members of Bulgarian – Canadian Society of BC (BCSBC) had meeting with the representatives of the American Embassy in Bulgaria. |
They manifested an interest in developing the restoration of the antique Roman mosaics in Downtown Plovdiv. The project is performed by the Foundation “Trackart 2000”, that is our member. During the meeting the participants visited the Roman mosaics and the Art centre, where the Foundation “Trackart 2000” is located. Georgi Ivanov – Trak showed the guests the restoring process of the antique mosaics. Foundation “Trackart 2000” in cooperation with BCSBC would like to promote internationally Bulgarian art, culture and history. A project for cooperation with leading universities in Canada is being prepared recently. one of the ideas is to include Canadian students in restoration of antique Roman mosaics in Bulgaria as a part of their education.
