Dear Friends,

The Canadian school year has begun. Very soon the Bulgarian school “Saints Cyril and Methodius” in Vancouver will open its doors.

The school would like to share a few details before the school orientation, which will take place on
September 12, 2020 at Queens Park at 10:30am

The first day of school will be on September 19th.

Like the Canadian schools, the school offers a choice to its students and teachers: in-class or on-line learning. The choice is yours!

School “Saints Cyril and Methodius” is the only school in British Columbia registered under Act No. 90 of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers and issues a certificate for a completed class. This applies to both in-class and on-line learning, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria.

The school offers (as in the past):
• Classes in Bulgarian language, history of Bulgaria, fine arts, Bulgarian folk dances and other extracurricular activities;
• Preschool group for children turning 4 years old by the end of 2020;
• Certificates for completed education of Grades 1-12 for in-class attendance;
• On-Line learning in exceptional circumstances (using Microsoft 365);
• Children dance group “PROLET” – 5-12 years;
• Youth dance group “SOFIA”.

New for 2020-2021:
• Certificates for completed education of Grades 7- 12 for on-line learning;
• Individual programs for completing two classes in one school year;
• Bulgarian language training for foreigners;
• Opportunity for registration of students from other Bulgarian schools abroad that DO NOT OFFER on-line learning.
