| The 2003 World Weightlifting Championships are fast approaching! With our Olympic spirit running high, and less than 1 month to go, Vancouver is awaiting the arrival of over 650 athletes from 85 countries around the globe. These are some of the world’s best athletes, qualifying at Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, for the 2004 Olympic Summer Games in Athens, Greece.
VOLUNTEERS – November 10th – 23rd With over 600 volunteers needed, your support and community connections can help us reach our goal! To date we have approximately 450 volunteers eager to get started on this one-of-a-kind event. Available positions include: Spectator Services Sport Access Control Accreditation Ceremonies/Cultural Performance Welcome Host Transportation Technology Hospitality And more! Volunteering in high profile world championships will provide individuals with the necessary experience to participate in other events………..such as the 2010 Winter Olympics!!
